Join Grounded Catholic for a meaningful spiritual journey that weaves together the quiet beauty of the Portuguese Camino and the profound Marian devotion of Fátima. This pilgrimage is crafted for those who long for prayer, community, encounter, and the grace that comes from walking ancient paths shaped by generations of pilgrims.
Over 8 days, we will walk, pray, rest, share meals, and encounter God through sacred spaces, stunning landscapes, and the gentle rhythm of pilgrimage. Our journey concludes in Santiago de Compostela, where we’ll spend our final night together at the renowned 5-star Parador de Santiago de Compostela—one of the world’s oldest continuously operating hotels and a historic refuge for pilgrims. We’ll celebrate with a special dinner in this unforgettable setting.
This pilgrimage will be led by Chad Pirotte, founder of Grounded Catholic.
Spiritual guidance and sacramental care will be provided by Father Gerard Alba, pastor of St. Pius X in Kansas City.

Itinerary
June 25 — Depart the United States
Begin your journey as you depart for Lisbon.
June 26 — Lisbon → Fátima
Arrive in Lisbon and shuttle to Fátima.
Enjoy a free afternoon for prayer and exploration at the Sanctuary.
Optional: Evening Rosary Procession at the Shrine.

Overnight: Hotel Fátima (directly across from the Sanctuary)
June 27 — Fátima → Tui
Begin the day with additional time in Fátima.
Transfer by bus to Tui, Spain—the starting point of your Camino.

Overnight: Hotel Colón Tui
June 28 — Tui → O Porriño (13 km)
Start your first day on the Camino, walking from Tui to O Porriño.
A return transfer will bring you back to Tui for the night.

June 29 — O Porriño → Arcade (23 km)
Transfer to O Porriño and continue your Camino pilgrimage to Arcade.

Overnight: GBC Isape
June 30 — Arcade → Pontevedra (12 km)
A beautiful stage of mixed coastal and forest paths leads you to lively Pontevedra.

Overnight: Hotel Rías Bajas
July 1 — Pontevedra → Caldas de Reis (21 km)
Walk from Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis, where you’ll enjoy a traditional “pilgrim bath” in the local thermal spa.

Overnight: Hotel Sena
July 2 — Caldas de Reis → Padrón (17 km)
Continue to Padrón—the legendary place where the remains of St. James were brought ashore.

Overnight: Hotel Rosalía
July 3 — Padrón → Santiago de Compostela (22 km)
The final stretch of the Camino! Enter Santiago on foot and rejoice in arriving at the Cathedral.
Spend the afternoon exploring the city.
Celebrate with a special included dinner at the world-famous Parador.
Overnight: 5-star Parador de Santiago de Compostela (on the cathedral square)
July 4 — Return Home
Breakfast included.
Make your own arrangements for your return home or onward travel.
