Faith Formation for Catholic School Faculty and Parishes
Grounded Catholic offers Catholic faculty formation in Kansas City for schools and parishes that want their teachers, staff and volunteers rooted in Scripture and the life of the Church. Led by Chad Pirotte, our sessions help the people who form others be formed themselves first.
Whether you are planning an in-service day, a faculty retreat or an evening for your parish, we will build a session around your community and its needs.

For Catholic Schools: Teacher Formation & In-Service Days
Your teachers shape how students see the faith every day. Good Catholic teacher formation gives them time to grow in that faith themselves, not just another training to sit through.
Chad can lead:
In-service and professional development days for the whole faculty
Faculty retreats at the start of the year, during Advent or Lent, or whenever your staff needs to step back
Ongoing faculty formation across a semester or school year
Scripture sessions that help teachers read the Bible with confidence and bring it into their classrooms
Sessions are planned with your principal so they fit your schedule, your theme for the year and your faculty.
For Parishes: Adult Faith Formation & Speaker Events
Adult faith formation works best when people are invited into Scripture, not lectured about it. Chad helps parishes start and renew that kind of formation.
Parishes invite Chad for:
Adult faith formation series and Bible studies
Catechist formation for catechists, RCIA/OCIA teams and volunteers
Scripture formation for parish staff
Speaker events, including parish evenings, men's and women's groups, and missions
If you are looking for a Catholic speaker in Kansas City who can help your people love the Word of God, we would love to talk.
Meet Chad Pirotte
Chad Pirotte leads formation for Grounded Catholic. He brings more than 15 years of experience in pastoral ministry, teaching and adult formation.
Chad served for ten years as an ordained Presbyterian pastor, preaching, teaching and shepherding a congregation, before entering the Catholic Church at Easter 2014. Since then, he has spent two years teaching high school students and five years forming Catholic school faculty with Holy Family School of Faith. He knows the classroom, and he knows how to form the adults who lead it.
Today Chad leads Grounded Catholic's Scripture studies, women’s and men's group in Kansas City, including the How to Read the Old Testament series. He loves teaching theology to laypeople and helping Catholics grow through daily prayer and discipleship. His teaching is practical, rooted in Scripture and the Church, and aimed at helping people pray and live what they learn.
What a Session Looks Like
Every session is built with you. Here is how it usually comes together:
A conversation. We talk with your principal, pastor or formation leader about your people and what they need right now.
A plan. Chad shapes the session around your theme, schedule and audience, from a single talk to a full in-service day or a series.
The session. Teaching from Scripture, time for prayer and reflection, and small-group discussion so people can bring what they hear into their own lives.
Next steps. Participants leave with simple ways to keep praying with Scripture, and we can plan follow-up formation if you want to keep going.
Sessions can take place at your school or parish.
